May 26, 2010 (MMD Newswire) -- In today's economy, it is essential that job seekers and career changers update and hone their skill sets in order to stand out from the crowd. The Career & Professional Boot Camp to be held on Thursday, June 17th from 11am until 4pm at the Wyndham Princeton Forrestal Hotel & Conference Center will help them accomplish this goal. This event is for unemployed professionals and those looking to make a career change.
"I've come across and helped many clients, friends and relatives through the roller coaster ride of being unemployed. It's emotionally stressful, not to mention financially trying" says Kevin Graham, Principal at Princeton Retirement Planning &Wealth Management and the coordinator of this event. "In helping a client recently, who had been unemployed for almost a year, it got me thinking on a larger scale of how I might be able to give back to the community" continued Graham. As a result of some research, Graham found that there were similar "boot camp" events held in San Francisco and in several other cities earlier this year. So with the help of Peter Crowley, Art Finnel, Tom Townes and Marion Reinson, Graham put this event together, to give the attendees ideas of how they can differentiate themselves and get an edge in the job search or career change. And in today's economy, getting an edge is essential to getting ahead. The Career & Professional Boot Camp is a FREE event for unemployed professionals and those looking to make a career change. This is NOT a job fair, but rather an event to introduce unemployed professionals and career changers to new ideas as well as serve as a way to meet fellow comrades in the job hunt, giving them an opportunity to network, vent and seek career advice. The event will be at the Wyndham Princeton Forrestal Hotel & Conference Center on Thursday, June 17th, 11:00am - 4:00pm. Registration will begin at 11:00am (all attendees must be preregistered by going to http://careercampprinceton.eventbrite.com) and space is limited to 125 attendees.
