The Treasure Box features 21-28 lbs of popular food brands, such as Sara Lee, Stouffers, and Kraft. It comes in a pre-assembled, frozen box packed with $75 - $100 worth of delicious, high quality food for individuals and families for less than half the cost. The Treasure Box has partnered with churches in the communities of Sacramento, Tracy, Modesto and Fresno to offer these organizations the unique opportunity to share The Treasure Box with the community. Those partnerships include Calvary Chapel Natomas in Sacramento, Southwinds Churh in Tracy, Landmark Missionary Church in Modesto, and Liberty Christian Fellowship in Fresno. Organizations already partnering with The Treasure Box in the Central Valley and Northern California are making a tremendous impact in their communities and see that there is great need for this program throughout the region. "I feel truly blessed to serve my community in this way," Deborah Melander, Coordinator for Creekside Christian Church in Brentwood says. "The Treasure Box offers everyone, regardless of economic status, the ability to eat for a little less without sacrificing good quality and nutrition. It's a fantastic way to reach out to my community at all economic levels and offer a meaningful, viable way to save money on a basic need." Treasure Box Coordinator Kevin Carllucci of Praise Church of God in Christ in Clovis, Calif., said: "The Treasure Box is a valuable resource for every family. Our goal with the Treasure Box is to provide an opportunity for families to have something to look forward to. There's a great need for affordable food in this tough economy."
